Base building game project

Anarkis Gaming

Hi there!

As you may have noticed, I have been relatively quiet in the past few months. It’s no secret I have been coding in the meantime on a second game. It’s now in a shape allowing me to start talking about it in more details and resume writing devlogs. This game, which has yet to be named, is a colony management game. I will detail my goals, progress and distribution plans in this first devlog. No screenshot or video yet, sorry. 🙂

Unending Galaxy 1.3.1 Released!

We just updated Unending Galaxy to version 1.3.1.2.

This version features a brand new map, Unruly Galaxy where factions can only control solar systems and strategic crossroads. I also reduced the diplomatic modifier for being at peace and added a diplomatic incident random event to shake things a bit between the various major factions. Performance have been slightly improved thanks to a much faster path-finding algorithm, while civilian miners will regulate their population based on the amount of available asteroids. As usual, Unending Galaxy is available on Steam and itch.io.

Next project and Steam Direct

Anarkis Gaming

Hi there, been a while.

This post is going to be fairly long. I will talk about Unending Galaxy, the recent changes to Steam’s review system and Greenlight and how they impact my studio. Finally we’re going to talk a bit about the game I am currently working on. I also hope you’re enjoying the new website design. It’s still a work in progress, be sure to tell me if there’s something amiss.

What’s up ?

o,

Yes, it has been a long time since the last post and update. I should apologize for that. I had to take some time off after spending 2 consecutive years on the same project. And, I also started to work on other projects in parallel, but it’s a bit early to start talking about those in depth. That being said, Unending Galaxy 1.3 will be released in a few weeks.  Read More …

Unending Galaxy: Post Mortem

Here is Unending Galaxy‘s post-mortem! The game still sells relatively well given the niche market I was targeting in the first place, but I think this can be an interesting read to any solo developer tempted to make and publish a game. Also, I haven’t posted something interesting here in a while.

I’ll also publish posts about future projects, and what’s in store for Unending Galaxy in the following days.

Enjoy 🙂

Unending Galaxy : Content Update 1.2.6

Unending Galaxy 1.2.6 has just been released on all platforms!

This is a major content update with tons of new features, like the ability to directly play any faction, the new dreadnought, corvette and drone ship classes. It also includes dozens of gameplay and user interface improvements like the revamped shipyard menu, the ability to double click any of your ships or stations to open the relevant menu. It also got a graphical update with better sprites and fluid ship rotations. It’s also way more stable even in large, long games, and loading times (initial and save-games) are much shorter.

You can buy Unending Galaxy from the download page. For those who already own the game, your favorite store should get the new version shortly depending on how long it takes to upload everything. The full changelog is available in this article.
